Mawuse Golokuma
Founder & CEO, Mountainview Farms | Global Technology Executive | Agro-preneur | Philanthropist | Leadership Advocate.
Mawuse Golokuma is a visionary leader whose multifaceted career spans over three decades, intersecting technology, agriculture, education, and social impact. As the Founder and CEO of Mountain View Farms, he is driving a bold mission to combat food insecurity in sub-Saharan Africa through innovative, large-scale farming practices. Based in Ghana, Mountain View Farms spans 76 acres and is a model for sustainable agro-entrepreneurship rooted in empowerment, efficiency, and long-term community development.
Before stepping into the world of agriculture, Mawuse built a highly distinguished career in the global tech industry. Since 1990, he has earned a reputation as a high-energy, people-first technology leader who balances sharp strategic thinking with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. Over the years, he has successfully built high-performance engineering and product teams from the ground up, and also managed mature global teams of up to 85 professionals across Silicon Valley, Germany, India, and Canada. His leadership approach emphasizes inclusive culture, psychological safety, and sustained innovation.
His work in technology is marked by breakthrough thinking and impactful contributions. He is the named inventor on a 2023 patent from Intuit for a “User Interface In-context Editor,” reflecting his ability to drive human-centered design and product excellence. In 2019, he published a paper on “Content Localization”, contributing to the industry’s understanding of how to build culturally relevant digital experiences at scale.
In 2023, Mawuse expanded his purpose-driven vision beyond tech to address urgent social challenges on the African continent. Through Libraries by MissFafa, a philanthropic initiative he founded, he shipped and donated over 25,000 children’s books from Canada to Ghana to establish community libraries. The initiative has already impacted 68 primary schools, fostering literacy, curiosity, and opportunity for thousands of young learners. At the heart of the program is a deeply human mission: to inspire hope through literacy.
His commitment to leadership development continues through his role at Ashesi University, one of Africa’s most forward-thinking academic institutions. Since January 2025, Mawuse has served as a Board Member and Leadership Workshop Facilitator, mentoring the next generation of ethical and entrepreneurial African leaders.
Across all his ventures, Mawuse Golokuma brings a consistent ethos: build with impact, lead with purpose, and uplift others along the way. His journey is a testament to the power of cross-disciplinary leadership and a deeply rooted belief in the transformative potential of technology, agriculture, and education.
